"In 1953 there were two ways for an Irish Catholic to impress his parents: become a priest or attend Notre Dame."
Phil Donahue

Where was this photo taken?
This picture was taken in front of the famous "Touchdown Jesus" mosaic on the campus of University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana.  Visiting this spot had been a dream of both C and I for a while.  Well, more for C because he is an absolute die-hard ND fan so coming to the campus and seeing the stadium was pretty epic in his mind.

Who were you with?
This was the morning after one of my sorority sister's wedding.  A bunch of Alpha Chi's were there and we all decided to go to breakfast at a local greasy food joint then hit up the campus to prance around and enjoy each other's company for an hour more.  The wedding was so much fun with lots of dancing, good music, and beautiful friends.  This visit was the cherry on top of an incredible weekend.  It was also the day that Beyonce had her baby, so basically it was the most important day in history.

Why was this moment so important to capture?
This moment was so important to document the first moment I saw this iconic symbol in football history.  Walking around the campus and seeing the Grotto and all of the beautiful buildings made me almost regret not applying to Notre Dame for my undergraduate degree!  Of course I spent half of the time chanting "Rudy!  Rudy!" and the other half cracking jokes.  All in all, it was a lot of fun and I'm glad that C and I had the chance to go see the campus!
